Building TRUST with REAL patient experience
The key to a great video is storytelling and promoting an emotional response. Patient testimonials should give your viewers a warm fuzzy feeling and a sense of trust. They can also be informative, letting a patient lead know what a specific or treatment could look like from the perspective of an actual patient.
Who Should I Ask?!
Go through your list of patients or past appointments and find the ones that had a great experience and align with your practice target market. Most importantly, pick patients that are outgoing, friendly, and professional. We recommend avoiding friends, family or coworkers as responses will not be authentic.
We are looking for patients in particular that have received a treatment that you would like to focus your marketing on or who have undergone an amazing transformation.
In your activation call, you will have selected 3-6 top services to highlight on your home page. So for example. let's say you said: Dental Implants, Invisalign and Emergency. To get the best results in your marketing and SEO performance, you should ideally schedule:
- A patient that you performed an implant procedure on.
- A patient who has had success with Invisalign
- Someone who has come in for an emergency and you went above and beyond.
Note For Pediatric Practices
Parents should be the primary testimonial participants for pediatric practices, but the child should be present for B-Roll.
However, if we are unable to get participation from the child (we know it can be tough during school hours) we encourage using a family member or friend to sub in for the child. Let us know if we can help you coordinate and develop a custom solution to help make your shoot a success!
What is Expected of Patients on the Shoot?
In both Captivate and Influence Plans, patients are scheduled in 45-minute blocks, back to back. During the first 15-20 minutes of their scheduled block, our crew will ask a series of interview questions. Some of these questions are about your practice and others questions will be about the specific treatment that they were selected to speak about. For more information on interview questions, see our article about Video Interviews.
After a patient has completed their interview, our crew and your team will stage a "mock visit" to capture B-Roll. This mock visit will also be specific to the specific treatment that they were selected to speak about. To learn more about what B-Roll is, be sure to check out the video explainer in the article What is B-Roll?
